I am a traveler. I always have been and always will be. I particularly enjoy wildlife, the outdoors, and road trips; this means hitting the trails, exploring national parks, and seeing where my wheels take me. At the end of the day, though, I’m not a camper or a backpacker. I want a hot shower and a cushy bed. I prefer to rest my bones at a luxury resort or hotel with a beer in hand, thus enjoying the best of both worlds.
I have worked as a television news journalist for over 15 years. Combining my passion for journalism with travel, I have been writing about destinations since 2008. During that time I have contributed to such outlets as The Denver Post, CBS Denver, and The Circumference. I have also written a travel memoir, The Drive North: A Swing Down Memory Lane, and am currently hard at work on several follow up books.
I’m not a “country counter,” but so far I have hit all seven continents – yes, even Antarctica - most of the States, and most of the counties in my home state of Colorado. It is a big world out there, no matter how small and connected it may seem at times, and it can be difficult to decide where to go out of so many amazing places. I share my experiences in the hopes of inspiring others to learn and explore, even cyber-travel by enjoying a place they may not otherwise be able to visit. There’s just so much to see and such little time, so hopefully my efforts help and inform others of what is out there.
